Dear Dolphin Swimmers and Parents,

Welcome to the 2011 Dolphin Swim Season!  We are pleased to begin another season of fun, growth and lots of swimming.  Great news, registration fees are just $55, the best deal in town!  Also, again this year is a registration discount for families with three (3) or more swimmers.  The fee for the first two swimmers will be $55 each and swimmers three on up will be $45 each.

The Dolphin swim team is a strong family unit that builds character in our swimmers and unity in the neighborhood.  Our team has an enduring tradition of excellence in swimming and in classy sportsmanship.  Our coaches will work with the Dolphin swimmers to develop their ability to correctly swim all four strokes, improve their fitness level, learn to race tough and enjoy the camaraderie of friendly neighborhood competition.  Our hope is to see growth within each and every swimmer regardless of age, ability and previous experience.  Out of the pool there will be many social opportunities to have fun.  Bingo, float night, movies, poster making and just hanging out at the clubhouse with fellow Dolphins and Booster Club members are great rewards for all those laps.

Parental involvement is one of the keys to a successful season.  We cannot run the meets, raise money in the canteen, provide bingo, movie nights or other fun activities without active parental involvement.  Dolphin parents have a tradition of contributing their time graciously and our swimmers benefit tremendously.  Without our wonderful volunteers, there could be no Dolphin swim team.

There will be a Season Opening - Parent Meeting TENTATIVELY scheduled for Sunday, May 15^th at 5:00 PM at the OOI clubhouse.  We ask that all families have at least one parent attend, as we will be covering league updates, policies and rules that will be in effect this season.  Also, come meet the coaches, hear about activities planned, and sign up for your favorite volunteer job.  Clothing will be available to purchase and coaches and volunteers will answer any of your questions.

Once all documents are printed out and completed, attach a check made payable to OOI - Swim team and forward to Linda Peckham (661) 259-2409.  Note:  You will still need to sign a "waiver" form in the presence of the registrar, as a witness.
