LUKE GOORSKY - INDEPTH INTERVIEW

Luke Goorsky was born in New York and moved to Old Orchard I when he was only a few months old. Throughout elementary school Luke played a number of different sports, including the Dolphin Swim Team. Luke has played a part in the Dolphin Swim Team's success during the 11 years he participated and held 3 Old Orchard I Team records in the Butterfly at the end of his Dolphin career. He is entering his fourth year as a Dolphin coach and third year as head coach.

He credits the Dolphin Swim Team with providing him with a strong work ethic and the desire to win. Luke also is one of Old Orchard I pool lifeguards and has a great reputation with the families and swimmers of the community.

Currently, Luke is entering his third year at the University of California San Diego where he is double majoring in History and Sociology. Most of his free time at UCSD is spent playing rugby as part of the university's team. He plans to one day do intelligence work for the government and sees his experiences with the Old Orchard Swim Team as both a swimmer and coach as a stepping stone to his future career.
